Adding Plugs & Rooms

With your account ready, register your Volta plugs and organise them into rooms.

Step 3 — Adding Your Plugs

1. Tap "Scan QR Code" (camera icon, found at the top of your screen).
2. Point your camera at the QR code on the side of your plug and wait while it shows "Processing…".
3. A "Device Claimed!" confirmation appears, and the plug is added to your account.

Step 4 — Creating Rooms & Assigning Plugs

Rooms let you group plugs by where they're used (e.g. Living Room).

1. Tap "Add Room" (found at the top of your screen) and give the room a name.
2. Tap into the room you just created.
3. Tap "Attach Device" (found at the top).
4. Choose any plug that is unassigned — the plug number is printed on the side of the plug, under the QR code.
5. Give it a "Device Name" (model, brand and remarks are optional) and tap "Attach".

Your plug is now assigned to the room and ready to use.
